Dr. Sabrina L Pennington, PT
Dr. Sabrina L. Pennington was born and raised in Troy, AL where she graduated from Charles Henderson High School, with honors, in 1996. She attended Auburn University in Auburn, AL for her undergraduate studies and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Math
and Science with a concentration in Zoology. She went to Graduate School at Alabama State University in Montgomery, AL where she received her Master’s Degree and Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Dr. Pennington has been a board-certified physical therapist for over 20+ years with experience in outpatient orthopedics, acute care, skilled nursing, inpatient rehab, pediatric rehab, and home health physical therapy services.
Dr. Pennington came back to her hometown of Troy, AL, and helped establish, Elite Physical Therapy and Wellness Center, Inc. which opened in April 2016. At that time, Troy and the surrounding counties were very underserved with only 2 other Physical
Therapy clinics in the area.
Elite Physical Therapy started as a single outpatient physical therapy clinic and now has grown and branched out to provide physical therapy services in 6 school districts in the surrounding areas. Dr. Pennington credits much of her success to her co-worker and colleague Jesse Baker whom she’s worked with for 10+ years.
On the weekends, Dr. Pennington enjoys traveling with her kids, family & friends.
Jesse Baker, LPTA
As a highly qualified and experienced Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), I graduated with honors from Wallace Community College in 2004 and was inducted into the Pi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Throughout my career, I have gained extensive expertise in a wide range of therapeutic settings, including inpatient hospital care, home health, outpatient physical therapy, orthopedic, neurological, sports-related, geriatric, school-based therapy, and wound care therapy.
Additionally, I served as an Army medic with the Alabama National Guard from 1997 to 2005 and have held licenses as an EMT I. Prior to my current role, I worked at Southeast Medical Center, Dale Medical Center, The Therapy and Wellness Group, and Amedisys Home Health. I am married with two sons aged 10 and 14 and have been living in Skipperville, Alabama, for several years.
Brianna Downs, LPTA
Brianna Downs, LPTA has been practicing as a licensed physical therapist assistant since 2018. She has gained experience in LTAC, SNF, inpatient, outpatient, and swing-bed settings developing skills in aquatics, geriatrics, wound care, orthopedics, bariatrics, and neuro-balance techniques. Brianna is currently practicing in the school system with the pediatric population both in the home and the classroom.
Brianna graduated from Wallace State Community College with two degrees majoring in chemistry and physical therapy and then went on to the University of West Florida and completed a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration.
Brianna is a native of the panhandle of Florida. However, with her husband and two girls, she has put down roots in South Alabama. Together they run a small business that services the Wiregrass area which has flourished over the last 4 years. On the weekends, Brianna and her family volunteer their time giving back to their community through religious outreaches as well as family traveling across the nation.

We treat a wide variety of musculoskeletal and post-surgical conditions, such as low back pain, neck and shoulder problems, joint replacements, arthritis, knee and ankle sprains, tendinitis, sprains and strains, fractures, balance disorders, vertigo, stroke, and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders.
